After watching ‘The Artist’ and ‘W.E.’ this week and currently reading ‘The Great Gatasby’, I seem to have developed a taste for 20s/30s/40s style fashion. When dresses went to the knees, and outfits were created to make the most of our the woman’s figure, I find myself wanting to wear something a bit more classy yet cool. I don’t mean wearing floating long tea dresses (actually, I wouldn’t mind so much) but I mean the ‘edgier’ side to that age of fashion, with Cigarette Pants and silk midi dresses in at the hip. I’m also quite sure that even Bree from Despearte Housewives as been having an influence on my fashion choices, with her silk blouses and fitted knee length skirts, making me want to choose to wear these options finished off with heels. What is going on with me? Maybe it’s a fashion moment or maybe it’s here to stay, who knows…
